    NEW PROJECT MANAGER APPOINTED AT THE MANUFACTURING EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP OF LOUISIANA

    BATON ROUGE – Daniel Stumper, a professional with over 15 years’ experience in project management, has been newly appointed as a Project Manager of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana.

     

    Effective January 8th, Stumper will support MEP of Louisiana activities to help Louisiana manufacturers grow and compete. As a project manager, he will deliver industry consulting services and drive implementation engagements with manufacturers.

     

    “Dan brings a wealth of hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma and project management to the team”, said Ali Ahmad, director of operations of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana. “His 30+ professional career spanned various industries and I look forward to working with Dan to enable growth and prosperity of Louisiana manufacturers.”

     

    The MEP of Louisiana is operated by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) in partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and a national network of Manufacturing Extension Partnerships based in every state. The MEP of Louisiana provides a full range of services to manufacturers, including growth and cost-reduction strategies, website development and branding, process and quality improvement, engineering and prototyping, facility layout, and leadership training. All activities are focused on increasing productivity, profitability, and manufacturing success. The MEP of Louisiana also can connect manufacturers to workforce development services offered by all 13 LCTCS colleges.

     

    Stumper stated, “I am joining a strong MEP of Louisiana team. Together we will assist Louisiana manufacturers grow and prosper in today’s business climate. I look forward to the opportunities to work with Louisiana manufacturers.”

     

    Stumper has worked for over 15 years with large and small companies to affect change in operations, manufacturing reliability, supply chain, health safety and environmental, maintenance, and logistics.  As the owner of Lean Six Sigma Services, Stumper led a supplier engagement program that delivered over $60 million in revenue including projects in production, drilling and completions, and deep-water operations for a major US Oil & Gas company.  He has led teams that achieved $15 million in cost reduction through manufacturing reliability and production improvement projects.

     

    Previously, Stumper also worked for Dow Chemical as an Executive Consultant as the lead for customer projects in material handling and storage, manufacturing reliability and operations.  As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Stumper has coordinated business supply chain planning, forecasting, process metrics and inventory management.

     

    Daniel has a Master of Business Administration from Robert Morris University. He lives in Destrehan, Louisiana.
