WYNN LANDRY APPOINTED AS PROJECT MANAGER
BATON ROUGE – Wynn Landry, an accomplished Lean and Operational Excellence practitioner and a seasoned professional with over 15 years’ experience in continuous improvement disciplines to include Lean Manufacturing, change management, and problem-solving initiatives has been appointed as a Project Manager of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana.
Landry will support MEP of Louisiana activities by continuing the relationships with manufacturing outreach alongside Louisiana Community and Technical College System’s Community Colleges, as well as assist in the creation of additional service offerings for the program.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Wynn Landry to the MEP of Louisiana team,” said Baxter Saucier, Operations Director of the MEP of Louisiana. “His experience and expertise will prove excellent for delivering impact to Louisiana manufacturers.”
The MEP of Louisiana is operated by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) in partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and part of a national network of Manufacturing Extension Partnerships based in every state. The MEP of Louisiana provides a full range of services to manufacturers, including growth and cost-reduction strategies, website development and branding, process and quality improvement, engineering and prototyping, facility layout, and leadership training. All activities are focused on increasing productivity, profitability, and manufacturing success. The MEP of Louisiana also connects manufacturers to workforce development services offered by all 12 LCTCS colleges.
“Wynn’s varied skillsets and sincere passion for working with manufacturers will bring even more advantages to the state’s clients as well as the MEP of Louisiana team as a whole,” said Executive Director Dayna Blanchard.
Wynn offers over 15 years of experience working in similar Louisiana statewide business technical assistance programs including five programs in conjunction with the MEP of Louisiana. “I am honored to be joining the MEP of Louisiana. MEP has always held a special place for me, and I am excited to return to work with manufacturers and serve as a conduit for helping them prosper,” Wynn said of his appointment. During his previous employment, he has worked with manufacturers of all sizes to facilitate sustainable improvement strategies in the gulf and capital regions where he successfully trained and supported over 2,000 employees worldwide on lean mindset, principles, and application in manufacturing. As a previous Director of Manufacturing Productivity for the MEP of Louisiana Center for Lean Excellence, Wynn has coordinated lean initiatives statewide while delivering lean services and project management. Wynn has a Master of Business Administration degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Engineering from Louisiana State University.
