MANUFACTURING EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP OF LOUISIANA APPOINTS PROJECT MANAGER AT LOUISIANA DELTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

BATON ROUGE – Koling Tenney, a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ experience in Operations and Quality Management, has been appointed as a Project Manager of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana at Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC).

Tenney, along with existing Project Manager Miriam Russel, will support MEP of Louisiana activities to help North Louisiana manufacturers grow and compete. As a project manager, she will deliver industry consulting services and drive implementation engagements with manufacturers in North Louisiana.

“We are excited to have an individual like Koling on the MEP of Louisiana team,” said Dr. Ali Ahmad, Director of the MEP of Louisiana.  “Her technical expertise will be a great fit for delivering great impacts for Louisiana manufacturers.”

The MEP of Louisiana is operated by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) in partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and part of a national network of Manufacturing Extension Partnerships based in every state. The MEP of Louisiana provides a full range of services to manufacturers, including growth and cost-reduction strategies, website development and branding, process and quality improvement, engineering and prototyping, facility layout, and leadership training. All activities are focused on increasing productivity, profitability, and manufacturing success. The MEP of Louisiana also connects manufacturers to workforce development services offered by all 12 LCTCS colleges.

Louisiana Delta Community College Chancellor, Dennis Epps stated, “Louisiana Delta Community College is proud to welcome Koling onto our campus.  Her manufacturing experience will be a great addition to the North Louisiana ecosystem.”

Tenney offers over 20 years of experience directing logistics, polices, manufacturing processes and teams within pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetic manufacturing environments.  “I am very pleased to join Louisiana Delta Community College and the MEP of LA and offer my service towards the mission to enhance the capabilities and competitiveness of our regions’ manufacturers,” Koling said of her appointment.  During her previous employment at several manufacturing companies, she managed several Quality Control/Assurance and operations activities, regulatory compliance and R&D functions for production facilities.  As a certified ISO Auditor, Tenney has completed numerous quality projects to define new standard operations procedures, company policies, and introduced and led project management teams to yield significant decreases in overall quality non-compliance.  Koling has a Medical Technology degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
